#thanks → nathan for the new gadgets null

← this was a reflected tetrahedron before i tried to make it all one group null … don’t have the knack for grouping yet.

having just one gadget to do all the sizing rather than the more traditional 3 or 4 is kind of wierd and takes bit of a learning curve.

After things are more stable I will probably add more sizing gadgets. Right now things are still in flux and the fewer controls to rewrite for each change makes development easier.

And also, basic widgets are indented to be super simple and easy for people to use to curate page presentation … not really for high level technical and CAD like drawing. There are plenty of technical drawing tools out there that one could use to create stuff like your tetrahedron and then just import the image as a widget.

And if you really want to go for it, just use Google Sketchup to create any level of drawing you want and then imbed it in an iFrame and do simple widgets for labels and things over the top of it.

i did google for my reflected tetrahedron and could not find it.  everybody does octahedrons … this one is a bit of an outlayer.

but yes i get it … a CAD tool this should not be null.

i wonder:   what the official name for this polyhedra ?

p.s. You can remove the 3D effect from the grouper to make the grouper completely invisible. The 3D effect defaults to ON so that you can see the grouper to start off with, but it is not required.

re “what happend?”.

If you mean the big black double arrow, looks like it is simply behind your grouper. Move the grouper and see if you can click on it and then delete it.

i tried that.  i will try again … but it did not work the first time.   incidentally i am leaving this in group test so you can dink in test yourself.

i think the group and the two directional arrow are contiguous … they move and act together and i don’t know how to tease them apart.

Hmmm … okay. Looks like your grouper IS a double arrow instead of a blank widget. Not sure how you did that exactly. I can easily fix it with just a little HTML tweaking in the debug console. But not at the same time you are working on it too.

yes i just noticed that too.   thing is how could that have happened?

it definitely started out as a Grouper and i added all that other stuff to it.   Then i added the two sided arrow and somhow that because the image on the grouper.   i guess i could just delete it.   but then what would happen to the group?

You must have had a double arrow around and clicked on that when you were grouping. No other way I can think of. But I can simply remove the arrow and it will be a grouper.

okay it’s fixed now null … you must have deleted the image off of the Grouper.

Yes. If you change any of the html for a widget in the debug console. (Not the editor source view, the debug console HTML view) and then move or size the widget, then the html you changed will be saved. It is designed this way on purpose … helps me develop widgets.
