SENTRY3 - Active Call Blocker 3.0


 
Operating instructions for the Sentry3 from Speak To Me catalog.   Put 3 triple A batteries in the regular battery compartment located on the under side of the unit.   Orient the call blocker with the screen on the top right.   Connect two standard  phone cords, the one on the left goes to your phone, the one on the right goes to the phone jack. 

On the front to the left of the screen is a standard 10 key keypad.  
The bottom left button of which is  * and is labeled “Ringer – Sentry’s ring can be turned off”
This is followed by the 0 for the keypad, and then # which is labeled “ON/OFF – Sentry OFF mode allows all calls except Black List.

unfortunately we determined that a blind person cannot maintain their white and black lists without being able to see the screen.  therefore we have rejected this product.

Is this seriously what it looks like? Does it only work on land lines? Are there really any land lines out there? I have not seen one anywhere in years (except perhaps inside businesses).

yep looks exactly like that …. about 6 x 5 x 2 inches.  Works only on land lines.  Cell phones have other ways of blocking and curating contacts. 

Land lines … weird! Kind of like 8 track tapes!

well our particular customer base have plenty of land lines.   the question is whether they will sell ?  denise thinks they will.  one has already sold without it even being posted.

Someone needs to come up with an international symbol that represents “no blind people”. I think it would be fun to put one on the steering wheel of my car.
